The Machinist......a brief review

Trevor, a machinist, has not slept in a year. Fatigue has led to a shocking deterioration of his physical and mental health. Suspicious of his appearance, Trevors co-workers first shy away from him, then turn against him after hes involved in a shop accident that costs a man his arm. He has become a liability to himself and others.

Plagued with guilt, Trevors shame becomes suspicion, then paranoia, when it appears his workmates are conspiring to have him fired - or worse. First he finds cryptic notes left in his apartment. Next hes told that a mysterious co-worker involved in the accident doesn't exist.

Are these mysteries a plot to drive Trevor mad? Or is fatigue robbing him of his reason? Trevor investigates the strange occurrences that are turning his world into a sleepless nightmare. Yet the more he learns, the less he wants to know...

20 ways to boost your confidence.

How a person carries and presents himself or herself is a time-tested aphrodisiac. It's also a quality that both sexes eagerly look for in a long-term partner. Confidence reflects self-acceptance and self-love. TRUE Advisory Board member Dr. Ilona Jerabek presents the following tips for building and keeping a high self-esteem. Take these to heart and improve your personal and love life today!

1) Act.
When you're feeling insecure or doubting your abilities, don't hide away. Take a
deep breath, get out there, and do the very things you're unsure about ... even if
you have to start small. If, for example, you want to act in a play, but you're
not sure you can do it, why not sign up for a very small part? You'll build your
confidence.

2) Conquer fear: take risks.
Sometimes life requires a small "leap of faith." You'll feel good that you took
some risks, even if they don't always work out as well as you hope. At least you
can say you tried!

3) Stand up for yourself.
Low self-esteem often leads to lack of assertiveness; and when we don't voice what we want and need, we end up feeling worse about who we are. Build your assertiveness skills, and it will get easier in time.

4) Set personal goals.
Decide where you'd like to go, and make a reasonable, yet challenging, plan to get there. Set deadlines and a system of rewards to keep you going. (A goal, by the way, doesn't have to be a huge life decision, like "become a doctor". It can be anything you want to have in your life, like "Make one new friend" or "Learn to make jam.")

5) Practice truthfulness.
Avoid white lies. We often fib because we think we are sparing feelings or making things easier, but dishonesty only ends up making us feel bad about ourselves. Don't present a false face.

6) Practice positive affirmations.
Write down 5 or 10 things you really like about yourself. And next time a negative thought pops into your mind, replace it with something positive.

7) Find things you enjoy.
Whether it's sewing, drawing, swimming or karate, hobbies are a big self-esteem booster. Even if we are not experts, doing something for the pleasure and challenge builds our sense of who we are.

8) Use visualization techniques.
If you're anxious or doubtful about your ability to do something (ask your boss for a raise or compete in a marathon, for example), practice visualizing that moment in detail. Imagine yourself pulling it off smoothly. It'll lower your fear and boost your confidence.

9) Enhance your ability to cope with stress.
It's not so easy to believe in yourself if you're stressed out. Develop a repertoire of strategies for calming your spirit and incorporate them into your life as much as possible (like reading a good book, talking to friends, riding a horse or taking a bubble bath).

10) Make a list of your accomplishments.
Include anything that made you feel good about yourself, without thinking about whether it is technically an "accomplishment" or not. (Your ability to relate to children, your chess talent, the amazing cookies you make, the great short story you wrote.) Refer to it whenever you need a boost.

11) Live in the moment.
The more time you spend dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, the more of the present you are wasting. Life is NOW, and you should get out there and embrace it.

12) Do things for others.
It's easy to get wrapped up in your own little world and forget that there are people out there who are in need. Give to others (your time, company, whatever you have to share) and you'll find yourself feeling better about yourself.

13) Take care of yourself physically.
Eat well, get enough sleep, kick nasty habits and get some exercise. Treat your body like it deserves to be treated!

Tips To Help With Positive Thinking

Negative Thoughts Helpful Alternatives
Other people seem so much more confident (or successful, popular, etc.) than me. In all areas of life, you can always find people who are better or luckier than you and people who are worse or less fortunate than you.
I don't have any talent. I'll try to do the best I can.
I have no discipline, no will power. I'm not going to give up!
I'm a complete failure. Making mistakes is only human.
I'm worthless, no good. My qualities include ... (make a list)
I have no patience whatsoever. I can do anything if I put enough time and effort into it.
I'll never be able to ... I can do anything if I put enough time and effort into it.
I don't have any brains. I can do anything if I put enough time and effort into it.
I'm a born loser. I have a good family life. That's all that matters.
I'm so weird. Many things are more important than looks.

Party Season

This last week was really great.
No words how to describe the fun and masti that i had this last week. The fun was awesome.
I had 4 parties in this week and still 2 days are left for the week to complete.
I mean to say 4 party in 5 days.
The first one was on Sunday when it was my flatmate Himanshu's Birthday and he treated us at Shahib Singh Sultan in city center Mall in Banjara Hills.
That was a great party and we really enjoyed it.
Monday it was our Company's Quarterly party at Rock Heights in Hi Tech City .It was a great party. The party started with dances and all . The theme of the party was Mughal Empire. The environment was build like that only. It was awesome. We enjoyed lots of drinks and snacks. The party was great. Then after all this dance and some programs the DJ started and we danced a lot.
We really enjoyed it. By the time, people were high on dancing , Mr Kara was out of senses and just enjoyed sitting alone. We bring him back to home. The party finished and left a remarcable memory.

The third party was on Tuesday. Our Team Outing to RunWay-9. The important thing about this party was that it was organized by me and manish. So we were more enthusiastic about it. We reached there at around 5 PM. I did 16 laps cart laps. Actually RunWay-9 is famous for Go-Karting. In 3 out of 4 Races i was the winner. That was really great.
Last race only me and manish were there in the track and we were really fighting to get ahead of each other. We were colliding with each other with so much speed that it was great. Other teammates who were watching us were just looking that what we are doing. Of course i was the winner. When we came out the other team mates said that it was an amazing race. We enjoyed just viewing it how much you people have enjoyed doing it. Really it was great.
Then we go for two rounds of Laser Combat. That was also a great game and we enjoyed that also. We had some snacks in between and things were really going great.
At around 9 PM we left for dinner. For dinner we came to Hotel Green Park in Ameerpet. The dinner was also great and this way the third party also go great.

The fourth party was on Wednesday, the Microsoft party. It was also in High-Tech City in Novatel Hotel. The main performer over there was Sonu- Nigam. He sang really good songs and made the party really great. Everybody was enjoying it. We enjoyed some drinks also. It was great.
After that we had dinner and I returned to my Home.
This way all the 4 parties went great and i am still expecting if i go to some other party in this week itself.
Although 4 parties in 5 days was really great and awesome and i really enjoyed it.

A lesson for every Salaried Employee

A lesson for Every Salaried Employee

A shopkeeper watching over his shop is really surprised when he sees a dog coming inside the shop, He shoos him away. But later, the dog is back inside again. So he goes over to the dog and notices that it has a note in its mouth. He takes the note and it reads “Can I have 12 soaps and a shampoo bottle, please. The money is with the dog.” The shopkeeper looks inside the dogs mouth and to his surprise there is a 100 rupees note in his mouth. So he takes the money and puts the soap, shampoo and change in a bag, and then places it in the dogs mouth.

The shopkeeper is so impressed, and since it is the closing time, he decides to follow the dog. The dog is walking down the street, when it comes to the zebra crossing, he waits till the signal turns green. He walks across the road till the bus stop. He waits on the stop and looks up the timetable for the bus. The shopkeeper is totally out of his mind as the dog gets into the bus and sits on a vacant seat. The shopkeeper follow the dog. The dog waits for the conductor to come to his seat. He gives the change to the conductor and shows him the neck belt to keep the ticket. The shopkeeper is almost fainting at this sight and so are the other people in the bus.

The dog then moves to the front exit of the door and waits for the bus stop to arrive, looking outside. As soon as the stop is in sight he wags his tail to inform the driver to stop. Then not even waiting for the bus stop to arrive the dog jumps out and runs to the house nearby. It opens an big iron gate and rushes towards the door. As it approaches the door, he changes his mind and walks towards the garden. The dog walks up to the window and beats his head several times on the window. It then walks back to the door and waits. The shopkeeper maintaining his senses walks up to the door and watched a big guy open the door.

The guy starts beating, kicking and abusing the dog. The shopkeeper is surprised and runs to stop the guy. the shopkeeper questions the guy “What in the heaven are you doing? The dog is a genius he could be famous in life.”

The guy responds “You call this clever? This is the 3rd time in this week that the dog has forgotten the door keys.”

The moral of the story: You may continue to exceed onlookers expectations… But will always fall short of the bosses expectation…

The salary Axiom: The pay raise is just large enough to increase your taxes and just small enough to have no effect on your take-home pay.

Isaac’s Strange rule of staleness: Any food that starts out hard will soften when stale. And food that starts out soft will harden when stale.

Lampner’s Law of Employment: When leaving work late, you will go unnoticed. When you leave work early, you will meet the boss in the parking lot.

Improve Self Confidence

HI Friends
I am not Shiv Khera or Minocer Patel nor i want to.
But i have some views tips using which a person can improve upon his self-Confidence. The main point is if you want to have a healthy self confidence there are many things which one can do to boost your self-confidence.
one important point is that this self-esteem is not fixed. It can always be improved.
One can try some of the steps below to boost your confidence and self esteem.

  1. Identify Your Success : Everyone is good at something, so first of all find out what things you are great at that is at what points you Excel, then focus on your talents. Give yourself time to develop pride in them. Give yourself credit for your success. Inferiority is a state in which you declare yourself to be a victim. Dont allow yourself to be victimized.
  2. Look in Mirror and Smile: The expression on one's face encourage the brain to develop certain emotions. So by looking in the mirror and smiling every day, one might feel happier and more confident in the long run.
  3. Exercise and have Healty Food: Exercise raises adrenaline and makes one feel happier and healthier. It is certainly an easy and effective way to boost your self-confidence.
  4. Turn feelings of envy or jealousy into a desire to achieve
  5. When feeling insecure, Write down a list of things that are really good about yourself. Read it back. One will be surprised what he/she can come up with.
  6. Don't be afraid to push yourself a bit.- a little bit of pressure can actually show just how good you are!
  7. Purchase some new cloths as per the latest trend and while wearing them don't think that you might be looking awkward.
  8. Try to talk positively at most of the times.
So these are some of the ways which i think if one follows he can definitely improve upon his Confidence and self-Esteem.

Smoking

Smoking is one of the worst things kids or adults can do to their bodies. Yet every single day nearly 4,400 kids between the ages 12 and 17 start smoking. Why? There's more than just one simple answer. Some kids may start smoking just because they're curious. Others may like the idea of doing something dangerous - something grown-ups don't want them to do. Still others might have grown up around lots of people who smoke and they might think it's the way to act like an adult.

You've probably heard that smoking and tobacco use can cause cancer and heart disease. That's true, but sometimes kids can't really think that far into the future to worry about an illness they might not get for 20 years. So let's talk about the problems that might affect kids more quickly:

bad breath
yellow teeth
smelly clothes
more colds and coughs
difficulty keeping up with friends when playing sports
empty wallet - cigarettes and tobacco products are very expensive!

hehehehe

2 Nights @ Manali

Hi all
2 nights @ Manali.......hope u all remember it
Although it has been very late writing about it but those two nights were really awesome and what to say about them

Ask view from singla, sharma, sekhu, jaiswal, manu, negi ji, amitabh, Seru and tussi whom we all missed a lot.Jaiswal and manu were in the Hot list on the whole trip .....hope they two didn't mind 'coz that was all crap.
just a teasing and masti kinda stuff....

So it all stated like this.
It was our final year in college and all of us fight with the department to take us on an Industrial trip.
Finally we were able to convince the department and we decided to have our industrial trip to "Kullu-Manali". So finalay we left Roorkee and moved towards manali .

Our trip started at around 8 PM in the evening. We were all going great when we got to know that all the so called gals in the batch were also going to travel with us in our bus only.
We decided to make the life worse for then so that we can do whatever we want i mean no restrictions in speaking in the bus.

So the whole night it was going fine and no body was able to sleep so we decided to play Antakshari (usual stuff which comes frist to mind). It was going fine until Nawab saab joined us and started singing the most crap songs ever sung in bollywood films. Then Antakshari was over we then stated playing Dumb Shrass . It was also God level and we all enjoyed the game.
In the mean time the driver has forgotten the path and took us on a wrong route and some people have become sick to disturb the life of others (i am not naming them otherwise they will bite my ass).......
What you say Vaibhav......

But we were really enjoying the trip....and finally we reached Manali at around 10 PM .
The hotel was booked. we got fresh and get ready for the dinner.
In the mean time some new groups have been formed on the trip. They are known to everybody so i am not specifying the names.

:) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :):) :) :) :)

Next morning we all got up and we decided to move to Rohtang pass. We reached Rohtang pass and it was really great snow over there. Dekh ke mazza aa gaya. we started tracking and then skidding on the snow and i was God Level feeling .
We even made one Shiv Ji of snow and everybody helped in making it bigger. Then we stated kind of praying it.
Then some Dust prani(creatures) like sharma ji thought of it as a snow man and made him to wear a cap and helped him smoke and then it become the snow man.
We take number of pics around it. It was really going great..

We then took horses and started tracking to great height. We were four on horses i.e me,singla, vaibhav and shekhu.
We reached great height and the horse owner has also left us and we learned horse riding also the same day. Vaibhav hope you remember how bad your horse was on the uphill journey which you have given to me on the downhill journey.

lekin upar paunch ke mazza aa gaya........then we took some great slides and it was mind blowing . We enjoyed a lot and it was really great going with all the college friends.
We all came back to the hotel and had a little party at night.

Next day we decided to go to "Hidamba Temple" and it was really nice going over there too.
And there is also some hidden masti also which i cant write here otherwise ppl will bite me up
like we got to know some special skills of Sumit bhai . It was really great .
We also teased a lot the newly formed groups on the trip (specially me vaibhav singla and sekhu ).
I think i have missed some part but i will soon updatte it as i will remember more.
I cant forget this really great trip of mine with college friends.
One can see some pics of the trip at Manali Trip

If anybody has some other pics please upload the links in comments..

waiting for your comments

like eating Dosa's, Idli, Uttapam, etc

That now become really a pain.
So i thought of keeping a maid to clean up the house and cook dinner for us too..

i searched a lot and finally i found one maid to cook dinner for us.
:):):):):)

Now i have found the cook also and that dinner problem is also gone..
Then the problem was of moving around the city as i was having no bike etc in Hyderabad and it was very expensive to travel by Auto. So finally i got my bike transfered from my place to this place and life is now at great ease.

Hyderabad is a good place to live at with lots of good places like Hussain Sagar Lake, Birla Mandir, Char Minar etc
And the city has really good Malls out of which my favorite are Hyderabad Central and City Center.

As you all know that i really like watching movies so it has become a routine to watch at least one movie each weekend and sometimes two also. Life has been great here.

So more details in the next update..

Thanks
Vinod

Yahoo! rises on break-up news

Yahoo! (YHOO) rises on break-up news

Filed under: Major movement, Earnings reports, Analyst reports, Forecasts, Google (GOOG), Yahoo! (YHOO)

Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO) logoNo one seems satisfied with the plans that Sue Decker and Jerry Yang, Yahoo!'s (NASDAQ: YHOO) new management, have made for the company. Concerns about slow growth of display ads and a mediocre launch of the Panama search product have caused more grumbling among investors. No one thinks Q3 numbers are going to be impressive.

Yahoo! is up 3.5% this morning. 24/7 Wall St. published a summary of a report from Bernstein Research which shows that if the portal were broken into three pieces, the company would be worth $39 a share. The stock has been trading below $27.

The break-up document shows that Yahoo! should be cut into three pieces. The first is the display ad business. The second is the search business. And, the third is Yahoo!'s subscription operation. Bernstein is convinced that the three operations would do better with new owners For example, Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) would do a better job of getting money from the Yahoo! search operation.

Bernstein earlier offered another option for Yahoo!. Out-source search to Google and cut 25% of total staff. The research house says that operating income would rise 206% next year compared to consensus numbers.

It is unlikely that Yahoo! management will take any of this advice, but the analysis does make one thing clear. The company is worth more than it stock price says.

God-Extra-terrestrial specie?

HUMAN SCIENTISTS FROM ANOTHER PLANET CREATED ALL LIFE ON EARTH USING DNA.

Traces of this epic masterpiece of creation can be found in all religious writings and traditions. It is to them that Moses, Jesus, Buddha and Mohammed referred. It is now time to welcome them.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On the 13th of December 1973, French journalist Rael was contacted by a visitor from another planet, and asked to establish an Embassy to welcome these people back to Earth.

The extra-terrestrial human being was a little over four feet tall, had long dark hair, almond shaped eyes, olive skin, and exuded harmony and humor. Rael recently described him by saying quite simply, "If he were to walk down a street in Japan, he would not even be noticed." In other words, they look like us, and we look like them. In fact, we were created "in their image" as explained in the Bible.

He told Rael that:

"We were the ones who designed all life on earth"
"You mistook us for gods"
"We were at the origin of your main religions"
"Now that you are mature enough to understand this,we would like to enter official contact through an embassy"

THE MESSAGES

The messages dictated to Rael explain that life on Earth is not the result of random evolution, nor the work of a supernatural 'God'. It is a deliberate creation, using DNA, by a scientifically advanced people who made human beings literally "in their image" -- what one can call "scientific creationism." References to these scientists and their work, as well as to their symbol of infinity, can be found in the ancient texts of many cultures. For example, in Genesis, the Biblical account of Creation, the word "Elohim" has been mistranslated as the singular word "God", but it is actually a plural word which means "those who came from the sky", and the singular is "Eloha" (also known as "Allah"). Indigenous cultures all over the world remember these "gods" who came from the sky, including natives of Africa (Dogon, Twa, etc.), America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.

Leaving our humanity to progress by itself, the Elohim nevertheless maintained contact with us via prophets including Buddha, Moses, Mohammed, etc., all specially chosen and educated by them. The role of the prophets was to progressively educate humanity through the Messages they taught, each adapted to the culture and level of understanding at the time. They were also to leave traces of the Elohim so that we would be able to recognize them as our Creators and fellow human beings when we had advanced enough scientifically to understand them. Jesus, whose father was an Eloha, was given the task of spreading these messages throughout the world in preparation for this crucial time in which we are now privileged to live: the predicted Age Of Revelation.

And most important of all, read the book, "Intelligent Design - Message from the Designers" the book which will revolutionize your thinking, transform your life and which is already changing the world.

Favorite Poem

I Am Sorry

If I hurt you,
I am sorry.
I have hurt myself.

If I made you cry,
I am sorry.
Let me do the crying.

If I made you angry,
I am sorry.
I am angry at myself.

If you blame me,
I am sorry.
I blame myself.

If you hate me,
I am sorry.
I really hate myself.

If you think I meant it,
I am sorry.
I never meant this to happen.

If I hurt you,
made you cry,
made you angry;
if you blame me,
hate me,
please forgive me.
I cannot forgive myself.

If you love me,
I am not sorry.
I really love you too.

ये तेरा दिल समझता है या मेरा दिल समझता है।

Jeans Style

Fashion Tip: Lengthen your jeans

If your jeans are shrinking on you length wise after washing them a few times you can stretch them out so it doesn’t look like your waiting for a flood to come through. Short jeans are very unfashionable.

First wash your jeans in cold water. Then hold them by the seems of the jeans and pull on the bottoms of the jeans for a few minutes to lengthen the jeans. You can typically get another 1.5 to 2 inches depending on the jeans. Finally hang them up to dry. For best results attach clips on the bottom of the jeans with a little weight to help pull the jeans while drying.

Rules of Style

Rules of Style

1. Style is about personality. The same thing can look cool on one guy and disgusting on another. A basic suit would never look boring on Sean Penn because he has so much character. 2. Hats should become a “must” again. All my shows have had hats made with Parisian milliner Maison Michel. The models try to steal them.

3. Jeans aren’t my thing. My version of jeans are baggy black pants. The only real pair I own are Helmut Lang.

4. The ruggedness of a three-day beard balances a nice suit. I don’t like a shaved face. It’s a problem when we do the shows in Paris after Milan. The models come back looking like Barbie dolls. I don’t even recognize them.

5. The Belle Époque was such a stylish time for men—it was all about bow ties and hats, black and white. You can’t go back to that, but you can draw inspiration from it.

6. The vest is the new jacket. It looks smart, but it’s not restrictive. In the summer, I’m always wearing T-shirts with vests.

7. If you asked me a year ago which color I would never use, I would have said yellow. But the inspiration of my spring show had a slight eighties feel—American Gigolo—so there was a lot of yellow and red. Never say never.

8. I love tattoos on other people. I’ve always been too scared to do it. It’s not the pain I’m afraid of—it’s wanting to get rid of it the next day. Body piercings are not for me, but I do wear Cartier diamonds in my left ear.

9. Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are the coolest couple on earth. When you see them together, it’s like, “Wow!” He‘s the only man who can make funny glasses look cool.

10. I’m not a white-space addict anymore. My old apartment was a loft in a very gray industrial building with nothing inside. Now my home has objects and paintings, like a little framed Madonna from a flea market, to make it my own.
